For the past four years, Columbia Residential has teamed up with local nonprofit organizations and volunteers to host the Deck the Halls: Family Festival; a memorable experience allowing our partners and staff alike to give the gift of generosity to hundreds of families in need. Since its inception in 2016, this event has served more than 2375 youth and more than 1064 parents, providing more than 3000 brand new toys and 1500 brand new coats and winter accessories.
Now for the first time ever, we are pivoting the event to meet the unique challenges of the times. Therefore, we are excited to launch the Deck the Halls: Adopt a Family Edition. In order to allow Santa and his elves to adhere to social distancing guidelines, we are working with our Columbia Families to create Amazon wish lists this year. We have more than 100 families registered and waiting to be adopted by a kindhearted donor.
Although we cannot come together in person this year, it is still possible to deliver Christmas Cheer to our residents both near and far.
